After years of trying the typical supermarket staples for breakfast, co-founders Amanda & Jordan decided it was time to find something different to start their days. It had to be healthy, all natural, filling and most of all tasty... so the quest began.
Searching markets & scouring the internet, they came across an old style loaf from Scandinavia that looked delicious, so they decided to make one for themselves!!
The traditional recipes were flour free, contained nuts, grains, seeds, were generally rich in antioxidants, superfoods, additive free and best of all they looked delicious!
So, after some experimentation, The Original Stone Age Staples loaf was perfected, and soon after the Gluten Free and Fruit loaf versions, nut butters, bites, porridge and granola joined the party...!
Stone Age Staples was co-founded by Amanda & Jordan Pakes to provide conscious consumers with easy access to a range of delicious, healthy staple foods that are both good for them and the planet.
With so few genuinely healthy (& tasty!) options available from supermarkets or local specialty stores, Amanda & Jordan decided it was time to take matters into their own hands and created something different.
Having developed the original Stone Age Staples product range, they are now committed to making their goods easily accessible, whilst connecting a tribe of like-minded conscious humans.
Amanda and Jordan live in St Kilda East, Melbourne with little bub Sienna & fur baby Brenda the Frenchie.
When Amanda's not baking or testing new recipes, you can find her at the boxing gym, taking Sienna for a jog in the running pram or spending time with friends.
Jordan is a keen ultra marathoner, golfer & has an unhealthy knowledge of various fantasy & sci-fi novels. When Jordan is not working or playing with his little bub, he's typically out listening to podcasts (Rich Roll is a favourite!) while training for his next long run.
They are both big believers in health and wellness and maintain a plant based diet to support their active lifestyles and the planet. They also both love to travel and have an obsession with all things Italian!
